We have been working hard behind the scenes on the UWCBlog network to give you even more features all for free! We have uploaded our SEO Pluging Pack #1 giving you access to even more areas of your blog.

We have also changed the way your articles display on the UWCBlog home page, and to give you even more coverage, we’ve installed a site wide RSS Feed so that anyone subscribed to the UWCBlog feed will get all your new articles as well!

We have tested these new features in the UWC Lab and expect everything to go smoothly. Though, now they are out in the wild the real test begins – so if you notice something that doesn’t look 100%, please send an email to support [at] uwcblog [dot] com

Mu-Plugins

Here is a list of the site wide mu-plugins we are using currently with a brief description about each.

WPMu Sitewide Feed
This plugin generates three RSS 2.0 feeds comprising of posts, comments, and pages across all blogs on your WPMU powered site.

List All Blogs
Lists all blogs on a WPMU site. Simply place list-all.php in your mu-plugins directory and then you can call the list from any page. Read the instructions located within the zip file for configuration options. Additionally, this plugin no longer displays any blog marked as spam, mature, archived, or deleted.

List All Posts
This Plugin allows you to place a list of the latest posts wherever you wish. Read the instructions located within the zip file.

WordPress.com Stats
Tracks views, post/page views, referrers, and clicks. Requires a WordPress.com API key.

Advanced WYSIWYG Editor
Adds more styling options to the WYSIWYG post editor in your blog. This feature allows you a host of editing options for your visual text editor in the write post of write page areas of your blog.

HeadSpace2
HeadSpace2 is an all-in-one meta-data manager that allows you to fine-tune the SEO potential of your site. Visit the HeadSpace page for a video demonstration.

Blogthis
Adds a set of blog-this links: links to digg, del.icio.us and technorati by default.

diggZ-Et
Automatically displays a “digg” button for each post. Full admin options available.

We are happy to announce that we have just upgraded our version of Wordpress MU to version 1.5.1 which includes the recently released Wordpress 2.5.1.

Wordpress MU 1.5.1 brings some fantastic new features to your blog and also so security related fixes.
